Our Workout Philosophy
We understand that most people who come to a gym want to get in shape and lose weight.
That is why we believe in full body workouts that incorporate cardio and resistance training.
These types of workouts will get you in the best overall shape in the shortest amount of time. A full body workout can be very time efficient when done quickly enough to incorporate cardio.
We also believe in using multiple muscles or muscle groups in exercises because this is how people move in real life.
Cardio or aerobic training is important because you will burn the most calories while doing cardio. However, once you stop doing cardio your body almost immediately stops burning more calories.
Resistance training is important because building up your muscles will help you increase your metabolism (burn more calories during your everyday life) and maintain your weight-loss. When you resistance train your body burns more calories for the next 24 to 48 hours than if you had not resistance trained. When you rev-up your muscles, much like a car engine, you burn more fuel/fat.
If you do decide to separate your cardio from your resistance training, we recommend HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). You can read our explanation of it here.
